Cool Down & Glow Up with Cryotherapy for Summer Skincare

Summer skin gets reactive, puffy and oily. Cryotherapy is the quiet fix and it takes five minutes a day.

When temperatures climb, the skin works harder. Oil production rises, heat-related redness flares and pores feel bigger by the end of the day. Most cooling products on the market are harsh and dry the skin out in the process. Cryotherapy does the opposite. It calms the skin with cold rather than chemistry and the results are immediate.

What cryotherapy is... In plain language

Cryotherapy uses cold temperatures to support circulation, help with the appearance of redness and tighten the look of the skin. Done properly with the right tools, it is one of the gentlest and most effective things you can do for summer skin. Our Cryo Sticks and Gua Sha Cryo Sticks are built for facial use, holding the right temperature for the skin without the risk of cold burn that comes from ice cubes or frozen spoons.

Why summer suits cryotherapy

Heat triggers inflammation. The skin responds with redness, puffiness and a tight reactive feeling. Cryotherapy gently constricts the surface blood vessels and brings that down. Late nights, travel and long days in the sun all show up around the eyes and cheeks first. A few minutes with a chilled tool moves fluid out of those areas and the face looks more rested almost instantly.

The five summer benefits worth knowing

Depuffs the morning face.

The lymphatic drainage effect helps with the appearance of puffiness around the eyes and jaw. Most useful after a hot night or a salty dinner.

Helps with the appearance of enlarged pores.

Heat opens pores. Cold tightens them. Used consistently, the skin looks smoother and more refined.

Supports product absorption.

Cryotherapy after applying your hyaluronic acid or face oil helps actives sink in more effectively. Our 100% Natural Anti-Ageing Face Oil pairs particularly well here.

Instantly refreshes tired skin.

The cold delivers the same wake-up effect as a cold splash, but in a more controlled and targeted way.

Supports the appearance of firmness.

Over time, regular cryotherapy supports collagen and can help with the appearance of fine lines that show more in summer light.

A simple summer routine

Keep your cryo sticks in the fridge overnight so they are properly cold by morning. Start with clean skin. Glide the tools from the centre of the face outwards and down the neck, following the natural lymphatic direction. Three or four sessions a week of five minutes each is plenty.

Morning sessions help with the appearance of overnight puffiness and prepare the skin for your SPF. Evening sessions calm the skin after a day of heat and sun exposure. If you want the full ritual, our Cryo Glow Kit pairs the cryo sticks with the face oil in one set.

Pairing cryotherapy with the rest of your routine

Cryotherapy plays nicely with almost everything. Use it after your Gua Sha for a longer sculpting session. Use it after an LED face mask session to settle the skin and lock in calm. The one thing it does not replace is SPF. Daily sunscreen still does the most important work in summer and cryotherapy simply makes the skin more comfortable around it.

Common questions

Can I use cryotherapy every day?

You can, but you do not need to. Three or four sessions a week deliver the same calming effect without overworking the skin.

Is it safe for sensitive skin or rosacea-prone skin?

Yes, when used gently and not held in one place for too long. Keep the tool moving and stop if the skin feels uncomfortable.

How long until I see results?

Depuffing and brightness are immediate. The longer-term effects on the appearance of pore size and firmness build over four to eight weeks of consistent use.

Can I use ice instead?

Ice is too cold and uncontrolled for facial skin. Purpose-made cryo tools hold a safe temperature and glide smoothly, which is why we built them.
