The adjustable microneedling hair & beard derma stamp works by creating tiny micro punctures on the skin's surface, allowing precise and safe microneedling.

Effective for hair treatments, the hair & beard derma stamp helps with various issues depending on the length of microneedles and comes with a protective needle cover to keep your derma stamp safe and clean.

Designed for targeted application, this hair & beard derma derma stamp allows precise pressing on specific areas of the scalp and hairline, unlike the derma roller which glides a barrel across the surface.

With an adjustable depth of 0.25mm to 3.0mm, needles can be modified according to comfort or treatment (needle lengths above 0.5mm should be used with caution).

Choose Your Needle Depth

0.25mm needle depth:

  • Sensitive or early stage thinning areas (e.g. hairline, temples).
  • Used as an entry level for those new to microneedling.
  • Boosts topical product absorption (like hair serums or minoxidil)

0.5mm needle depth:

  • Mild hair thinning or early patchy beard growth.
  • Preps the scalp and  skin to improve product delivery.
  • Stimulates blood flow for hair thickening and hair growth.

0.75mm needle depth:

  • Uneven beard density.
  • Thinning crown or receding edge
  • Activates dormant follicles.
  • Encourages stronger hair growth response.
  • Use with caution.

1.0mm needle depth:

  • Moderate beard patchiness or areas not responding to product use alone.
  • Scalp areas with visible thinning but some coverage.
  • Effective for moderate hair loss treatment.
  • Use with caution on sensitive areas.

1.5mm needle depth:

  • Scalp areas with moderate to severe thinning.
  • Advanced beard growth support in large sparse areas

2.0mm needle depth:

  • Very stubborn areas with little or no regrowth.
  • Bald patches or alopecia spots.
  • Not advised for beginners.
  • Recommended for professional scalp work.

2.5mm needle depth:

  • Severe hair loss zones where aggressive stimulation is needed
  • Use with caution and under professional guidance.

3.0mm needle depth:

  • Professional use only.
  • For advanced cases of scarring or hair loss.
  • Requires longer downtime and experience.

The Pure Derma Hair & Beard Derma Stamp can also be used for the following skin concerns:

Derma Roller V Derma Stamp - What’s the Difference?

The Derma Stamp employs a tapping or stamping motion, making it ideal for precision and comfort, particularly when treating delicate areas such as the hairline, temples, or thinning patches. This vertical action provides greater control, avoiding pulling or tangling in the hair, which many users find gentler and easier to manage.

In contrast, the Derma Roller uses a rolling motion to glide across the skin or scalp. Best suited to larger, open areas  such as the scalp in cases of male pattern hair loss, where it can cover a large surface area quickly and evenly.

Whether you prefer controlled stamping or efficient rolling, each tool offers unique benefits depending on your skin or scalp goals.

How To Use The Hair & Beard Derma Stamp

It's important to inspect your derma stamp before and after each use and dispose of if it there are any bent or damaged microneedles.

Always start by ensuring that the derma stamp is clean and sterile.

  1. Ensure the scalp or skin area for stamping are washed and clean by thoroughly cleansing. It's advisable to prepare the skin with an antiseptic wipe or solution.
  2. If you are new to microneedling, start off slow and consider starting with a short needle length (0.25mm) and minimal number of stamps over the area until you understand how derma stamping affects your skin. Take extra care in sensitive areas.
  3. Hold the skin taught and gently press the derma stamp vertically on the area you wish to treat as outlined below, making sure not to apply too much pressure.
  4. Stamp vertically once then lift, repeat up to 4 times, depending on your skin tolerance and sensitivity, making sure to lift the roller after each stamp.

Spend no more than 2 minutes using the derma stamp at any one time. You may feel a slight tingle after derma stamping, which is normal, but you should not feel pain.

Disinfect the derma stamp after use as outlined in the 'how to clean your derma stamp' section.

An evening regime is generally accepted as the best time to use your derma stamp when the scalp and skin are not susceptible to daylight sun damage.

Post Derma Stamping Guidance

After derma stamping the area may become red, this is normal as the skin is repairing itself. This is where the magic of microneedling is happening.

Apply serums or hair products, if required, after you have finished derma stamping. This is the time when you can get the best out of your products due to the higher level of absorption, meaning they are more effective.

Please note: some serum ingredients can cause an adverse reaction if sent further into the skin after derma stamping, always check your serum or product first.

Your skin & scalp could be more sensitive to sun and sunburn more easily than usual after using derma stamp, so it's advisable to protect the area treated for 3-5 days after use.

When to replace your Hair & Beard Stamp?

For good skin hygiene and to ensure they remain effective, derma stamps should be replaced regularly depending on the length of the area treated and frequency of use.

As a guide your derma stamp should be replaced 3 months after first use or after a maximum of 15 uses for 0.25mm and 10 uses for 0.5mm.

Always dispose of and replace your derma stamp immediately if the any of the microneedles are blunt, bent or damaged.

How To Clean Your Hair & Beard Derma Stamp

To avoid contaminating your skin, clean your derma stamp both before and after use.

Cleaning your derma stamp after each use is crucial for maintaining hygiene and ensuring its effectiveness.

Avoid sharing your derma stamp with others to prevent contamination.

Your derma stamp should be cleaned using a steriliser solution containing an isopropyl alcohol solution of 70% or more, to remove any dirt and bacteria. This helps prevent skin irritation and minimise the risk of infection. ,

Hot water may get rid of germs and surface material but does not sterilise the derma stamp. We suggest using a steriliser with at least 70% isopropyl alcohol solution.

Cleaning Steps:

  1. Remove the derma stamp from its protective cover and give it a quick look to ensure the needles are in perfect condition. It's a good habit to check them before and after every use. If any needles are bent or broken, then discard the derma stamp and replace.
  2. Sterilise the derma stamp with your sterilising solution or spray, as directed by the steriliser instructions. This normally involves pouring some solution into a container and leaving the derma roller to soak for 3-5 minutes. Steriliser sprays may have different guidelines.
  3. After sterilising the derma stamp rinse with water and allow to air dry.
  4. Once dry, return the derma stamp to its protective cover.

Always check your derma stamp is clean before each use.

What is a Derma Stamp?

A derma stamp is a precision microneedling tool designed to target specific areas such as hair thinning, and beard patches. By creating tiny micro punctures in the skin & scalp, it stimulates collagen production and improves product absorption to support hair growth.

The derma stamp features an adjustable needle depth ranging from 0.25mm to 3.0mm, allowing you to customise treatments.

How Does a Derma Stamp Work?

The microneedles when stamped on the scalp or skin create tiny wounds that stimulate the body’s natural healing response and prompt the body to send skin protecting molecules like collagen and elastin to the skin’s surface stimulating new cell generation.

These tiny puncture wounds on the skins surface can also help promote increased skincare product absorption, making them more effective.

Is Derma Stamping Painful?

0.25mm depth

  • You may experience a mild, tingling sensation.
  • No pain or discomfort.

0.5mm depth

  • You may experience moderate discomfort, which is tolerable for most users.

 0.75mm depth

  • Sensation becomes more noticeable, with a sharp or scratchy feel.
  • Mild discomfort; consider using a numbing cream for sensitive areas.
